All the way home the shaggy friends laughed and sang songs.

"That sure was fun," said Molly.

"And it didn't cost a thing,' said Wiggle.  "Except maybe a little courage."

"Courage?" asked Cricket.

"The courage to do something different and to meet someone new," said Wiggle. "You were very brave to meet the pawficer."

"Sometimes the pawsons that you meet change your life," thought Henry out loud.

"Especially the pawsons you meet when you are in trouble," smiled Wiggle, "like the day I met you."

"Or the day I met my rescue angels," agreed Henry.

"Or the day I met Patrick," giggled Cricket, remembering how she and her sister had stowed away on the Wigglebus.
"That sure seems like a long time ago," she said.

"We had never had any adventures until that point," said Molly.

"Life is an adventure," said Wiggle.  "It's all in how you look at it."

Pawficer Ellen must have many exciting adventures," said Henry, still dreaming of the cruiser.

"I bet SHE never gets bored!" said Molly.

"Bored?" said Wiggle. "If you are ever lucky enough to have free time, look around.  There is always someone who could use your help. Try to think of others, too." Wiggle reminded them.

"All I can think about is my stomach grumbling," said Patrick.

The whole pawblem with dinner is that you wait all day for it. When you snarf it down in 10 seconds, the whole thing is over too quickly.  But a dog's got to do what a dog's got to do, and snarf down  dinner is exactly what they did next.
"Now what should we do?" asked Patrick in a restless voice.

"Let's go outside and play in the leaves!" suggested Cricket.
